# Proposal : Revive the Ecosystem through Real Competition

## 🎯 Purpose

The goal of this proposal is to **revive activity around $MEX and $XMEX** by launching a **30-day liquidity contest** tied to the current leaderboard and reward structure. This would **encourage real liquidity** , **activate dormant holders** , and bring **positive attention back to xExchange**.

## 🔎 Context

Currently:

- Only two MEX-related pools are active:

- The **$XMEX energy leaderboard** exists but sees **very little movement**.

- Many users hold XMEX without incentive to act — MEX is largely stagnant.

- There is **untapped energy in the community** just waiting for the right spark.

Let’s give users a reason to come back.

## 💡 The Idea: **“MEX LP Leaderboard” Contest**

A **30-day competition** rewarding liquidity providers (LPs) based on the amount of **XMEX farmed** on MEX/EGLD and MEX/USDC.

### 📊 How it works:

- LPs on `MEX/EGLD` and `MEX/USDC` are automatically entered.

- A **real-time leaderboard** tracks the **top 1,000 LPs** based on total XMEX earned through farming during the event.

- No changes to the energy system required — this uses existing mechanics.

- Rewards could be **non-locked or partially locked XMEX** to allow immediate use or long-term participation.

- Others may **burn XMEX to reduce competitors’ influence** or **reset position**.

## 🌱 Bonus Suggestion: New Incentivized Pairs

To attract **external liquidity and broader engagement** , we recommend adding new incentivized pairs with competitive APYs (temporary boosted):

- `MEX/ETH`

- `MEX/BTC`

- `MEX/SOL`

These would:

- Help bring in new capital

- Improve trading options on xExchange

- Expand MEX’s utility and exposure
